Druze Bulgur Salad

Ingredients for Bulgur Salad

סלט דרוזי – מברדה – סלט בורגול
  • 3-5 finely chopped tomatoes

  • ½ bunch of finely chopped green onions

  • ½ bunch of finely chopped fresh mint

  • 2 cups of fine bulgur

  • 1 heaping teaspoon of tomato paste

  • 1 small teaspoon of sweet paprika

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Lemon juice to taste

  • ¼ teaspoon of cinnamon

  • ½ cup of Galilean olive oil


Preparation

1️⃣ Rinse the bulgur in a sieve under running water. Drain well and place in a bowl.
2️⃣ Add all ingredients to the bowl: tomatoes, green onions, mint, tomato paste, and spices. Mix well and adjust seasoning as needed.
3️⃣ Pour in ½ cup of olive oil, stir, and let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow the bulgur to absorb the flavors before serving.

At the end of the preparation, add another ½ cup of olive oil to preserve the salad and enhance its delicate taste.
